The outside panel of the shoe is highlighted by its simplicity as adidas removes the three stripes and replaces them with a clean burnished burgundy finish. The medial inside of this luxurious model comes equipped with a colorfully embroidered floral Batik-inspired design paying tribute to the Adidas Football Cleats 2017 sneaker's Southeast Asian origin. Finally, the Superstar's most recognizable trait  the toe shell  receives a burgundy colored gradient that is supposed to mirror a classic leather sofa.

Yohji Yamamoto and adidas Consortium are back with two new editions of the Y's Super Position . Last seen Adidas Eqt 93 17 in 2013, the unique reinterpretation of the Superstar featuring hanging "tassel" stripes and a smooth shelltoe hits the market again in continually trending monochromatic all-black and all-white colorways. Both colorways are constructed in premium leather, with the white version remaining white from top to bottom, while the black version receives a white heel tab. Both of the new Y's Super Position colorways will begin selling on January 31st at select adidas Consortium stockists.

Yohji Yamamoto is one of adidas' longest standing partners, his unique Japanese perspective influencing various Three Stripes models for almost a decade now. His Y's imprint, one Adidas Eqt Cushion Adv that exists separately from the Y-3 range, will make its presence felt in 2013 via this adidas Consortium Super Position pack. The duo of sneakers borrow the shape of the immortal Superstar silhouette and decide to mix around the details utilized across the upper.
